OUR CURATION PROCESS
Curation, Not Chaos
A good surprise still needs structure.
Designers Home mystery boxes are designed around a clear aesthetic direction and the promises made on the product page. Our goal is to create a balanced assortment that feels intentional from the first piece to the last.
Step 1: We Start With the Listing Promise
Before selecting anything, we check the product configuration:
· Theme or collection
· Guaranteed quantity or quantity range
· Jewelry categories, if guaranteed
· Color or metal-tone promise
· Condition
· Size or fit requirements
· Any listing-specific inclusions
The product page - not a promotional photo alone - defines the purchase.
Step 2: We Review Your Preferences
If you left preference notes, we review them before curation whenever operationally possible.
We may consider:
· Ring size
· Ear preference
· Favorite colors
· Preferred metal tone
· Jewelry types
· Motifs to include or avoid
Preferences guide the process but do not override product availability unless the listing says they are guaranteed.
Step 3: We Build a Cohesive Mix
We aim to avoid a box that feels visually disconnected.
Pieces are selected to work within the chosen theme, with attention to proportion, color balance, wearable variety, and overall presentation.
Step 4: We Check Condition & Match
Before packing, the order should be checked for:
· Correct product/tier
· Guaranteed item count
· Visible damage
· Basic clasp/function check where practical
· Size notes where applicable
· Condition disclosure consistency
· Packaging completeness
Step 5: We Pack for the Reveal
The final arrangement is prepared to protect the jewelry and preserve the surprise.
What Curation Does Not Mean
Curation does not mean:
· A specific pictured item is guaranteed unless stated
· Every preference can be fulfilled
· A rare or premium item is guaranteed
· Every box has identical value unless a minimum value is specifically advertised
· Spiritual, protective, healing, or luck-related outcomes are promised
The surprise should come from discovery - not from unclear terms.
